Professional Bio

I have consistently demonstrated strong leadership throughout my career in the design and construction community, collaborating effectively with peers and decision‑makers across a wide range of industries. As a natural extrovert, my greatest strengths are rooted in my interpersonal skills—particularly my ability to communicate clearly, build relationships, and bring diverse stakeholders to consensus. I excel at working with both public and private entities, and I am energized by opportunities to write, explain, and interpret building program policies and procedures. I am also comfortable serving as a spokesperson and representing an organization’s vision with clarity and professionalism.

My broad professional background—as a Facility Planning Assistant Director for State Government Buildings, a Design Architect, and as an owner of an Architecture and Interior Design firm—has given me a deep understanding of the design, schedule, budgeting, and funding challenges that Owners, Users, and Designers face. This perspective enables me to offer balanced, win‑win solutions grounded in real‑world experience on all sides of the process.

In addition to project expertise, I bring strong leadership and management capabilities. Feedback from my team members highlights the following strengths:

I motivate, challenge, and inspire people to perform at their best.
I prioritize efficiency, deadlines, and results, while also recognizing that teams are made of real people navigating real circumstances.
I value clear, consistent communication—both within the team and one‑on‑one.
I ensure everyone understands the mission and is aligned, “pulling the wagon in the same direction.”
I’m highly organized and intentional, yet comfortable delegating and empowering others when appropriate.

Overall, I bring a combination of leadership presence, technical experience, collaborative spirit, and policy‑minded thinking that positions me well for complex, high‑impact programs.
