Teeny Simmons and Kathleen Gordon Receive Presidential Citations



Mary “Teeny” Simmons, the long-time executive director of the Louisiana State Board of Architectural Examiners, and Kathleen Gordon, AIA Baton Rouge Executive Director, received Presidential Citations from the American Institute of Architects Louisiana Chapter at its annual Design Conference Awards Banquet, held in Lafayette on September 9. . Architects: the Common Thread in Re-building following Hurricane Katrina

Celebrating Architecture: Hays Town Exhibit



At the Old State Capitol, an opening reception, sponsored by the Louisiana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, was held for the latest exhibit, “The Enduring Architecture of A. Hays Town.” The exhibit examines A.
